This weekend I was lucky enough to stay one night at the gorgeous resort and spa Rancho Valencia. The resort sits just four miles off the 5 freeway in Rancho Santa Fe, California. The location is extremely convenient for those looking to be near Del Mar, and San   Diego beaches, while still preserving a very private and isolated feeling for guests.

Because of this location the weather is almost always warm and sunny, perfect for a relaxing weekend at the pool and spa. For those looking to for a more active vacation, the resort offers spin, Pilates and the very popular outside yoga classes.

The room accommodations at Rancho Valencia were very impressive. Our room had a sunken living room and a beautiful outside patio for dining and tanning. The bathroom was my personal favorite from the resort, with a massive Jacuzzi tub and adjacent waterfall shower. All of the accommodations at Rancho Valencia stay very true to the culture of San DiegoCounty, with Spanish inspired art work featured through out the property.

Despite the very convenient location of Rancho Valencia, guests would be perfectly satisfied never leaving the resort grounds. At the center of the property is the “club house” where guests can dine on the patio over looking the RanchoSanta FeValley or sit at the bar to enjoy one of the wines off their very extensive and famous wine list. Guests can walk down to the tennis court and enjoy an after noon game, or relax by the pool all day.

There really is anything and everything for guests at Rancho Valencia; it is truly a stunning resort. I would recommend the property for someone looking for a not-so-far-from-home escape from the every day life, it is the perfect place for one to decompress and rejuvenate.
