In Morocco – stayed at the Amanjena (they gave me the same pool villa that I had when I was there with my husband 8 years prior so I would feel at home). They really know about service.
My driver Omar was AMAZING – he even came to get me on the day I left from the Mandarin Oriental to make sure I had the Aman Service with the VIP check in. He was worried because the MO had only been open for 1 month.
The Mandarin Oriental was FABULOUS! – I had a 1 bedroom pool villa that was so big I could have had a party for 100 guests! Service was great – the spa & Hammam also FABULOUS! The restaurant AMAZING!
Also had lunch at Riad Kniza with Mohamed the owner – the property is looking better than ever – it also has the best restaurant in town!
Paris – I changed hotels every night:
Le Maurice – huge suite overlooking the tuileries gardens and the Eiffel Tower, service great, bar a must do for evening night cap.
La Reserve – MY NEW FAVORITE HOTEL IN PARIS – words cannot express how FABULOUS this hotel is. It’s a secret I almost don’t want anyone to know about. The chef is so amazing even If you order room service or in the bar – the food is the best Paris has to offer – the spa and pool, beyond compare!
Plaza Athenee – the best location, service and a true Parisian Experience.
The Peninsula – I felt like I could be in Tokyo with the internal view I had, the spa is massive and I found myself missing the exclusivity of La Reserve. The restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc, has a magnificent view, but the food was just ok (again found myself wishing I was eating at La Reserve!
Did a hard hat tour of the Ritz – it’s going to be stunning when it opens in March 2016.
Did a quick site at the Lancaster – YUCK!
Popped into La Pavillion De La Reine – it’s the only hotel in the Marais, didn’t love it, it’s just ok.
Found a new hotel – Le Cinq Codet – very cute, very reasonable.
Revisited Esprit St. Germain – the owner is constantly updating the property – it’s looking better than ever.
Also found an interesting property perfect for a long term stay or for a buyout – it only has 10 rooms (some have 2 or 3 bedrooms) – it’s expensive and exclusive and SUPER FABULOUS – IT’S THE NO NAME HOTEL – you have to reach out to me directly to book!
